The Canfor Pulp Limited Partnership includes the Northwood Pulp Mill, the Prince George Pulp and Paper Mill, the Intercontinental Pulp Mill and the Pulp and Paper Marketing Group in Vancouver.

 

As a Reliability Engineer your mandate will be to maximize equipment up time and minimize maintenance costs.  Providing a leadership role in Canfor’s Asset Management Program is fundamental to these objectives. Specifically:

 

  • Lead Defect Elimination process for root cause analysis and corrective actions

·         Provide continuous improvement of the preventive maintenance and condition monitoring programs using RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance)

  • Play a lead role in assessing electrical infrastructure to develop and implement 5 year improvement plans
  • Provide technical support for power and control issues, develop work procedures, standards, address skill deficiencies and develop best practices

This Reliability leadership role requires working closely with all production and maintenance team members providing broad support.

 

Qualifications

 

You will have a strong electrical infrastructure system background, knowledge of control systems and a keen interest in the reliability field gained through an Electrical Engineering Degree (title “Engineer”) or Technologist Diploma (title “Technologist”).  As an Engineer, you are a member of, or eligible to register with APEGBC or ASTTBC at least as an Engineer in Training (EIT). The applicant should also have pulp and paper mill or heavy industry maintenance and reliability experience.  You should also have  demonstrable expertise in the continuous improvement of equipment, problem solving and  strong computer proficiency.
