Research and Development

Canfor Pulp Limited Partnership understands that research and development into new products and into new ways of using our fibres is increasingly necessary if we are to remain competitive. We believe that actively engaging in R&D is fundamental to the long-term success of our company and that of our customers.

We have been actively engaged in R&D at dedicated facilities for over 15 years now, with activities focused on the production and utilization of pulp and paper. We also collaborate with national Canadian research organizations such as FP Innovations - PAPRICAN Division, as well as with several universities.

The Pulp and Paper Research Group focuses its efforts in three main areas of interest to our pulp customers:

• Developing new pulp grades and improving the properties of existing products.
• Working with Canfor Pulp Limited Partnership's customers to ensure that maximum value is being realised from the unique attributes found in our pulps
• Improving the environmental and process performance of the pulp operations.
