In addition to only producing kraft pulps by either the ECF process or the Enhanced ECF process, we have now achieved forestry certification under both the ISO, CSA and SFI standards, and we are monitoring FSC forestry certification regional standards as well. In addition, all of our kraft pulp and paper production facilities are registered under ISO14001 and ISO9001.
In keeping with our environmental responsibility, all of the Environmental Management Systems at our pulp and paper production facilities (except the Taylor BCTMP mill) and all of our forest operations are registered to the ISO 14001 standard. In addition, we are certifying our forest operations to the Canadian Sustainable Forest Management standard (CAN/CSA Z809-96) and to the Sustainable Forestry InitiativeŽ (SFI) standard.
We provide Environmental Product Declarations for each of the pulps we sell. These declarations are produced annually. They detail all the environmental impacts associated with the production of the pulps, and can be used by customers to compare suppliers or to assist in their own application for eco-labels on their products.
