For CPLP, social and personal contributions are integral to economic and environmental performance. On a global basis, CPLP strives to be an ethical and accountable corporate citizen and places enhanced importance on our role as an employer in the communities where we operate, the work we do with our employees to make their workplace safer and the way in which we sustainably manage our resources.
CPLP is a firm believer in stakeholder engagement and has worked on several major initiatives with key stakeholders. CPLP was a signatory to both the Canadian Boreal Forest Agreement and the Great Bear Rainforest Joint Solutions Project.
CPLP contributes nearly half a billion dollars directly to the British Columbia economy each year. This contribution is especially significant in the Prince George region, but the effect is much broader as our employees and the many companies that that support our mills come from all over the region. Our property tax contributions help to support schools, parks, emergency services, health care, and other important programs.
